Tour Overview

Menjangan Island, locally known as Deer Island, is situated in the northwestern corner of Bali and forms part of the West Bali National Park (Taman Nasional Bali Barat). This island is renowned for having some of the healthiest and most visually stunning coral reefs and wall dive sites in Bali. The consistently excellent visibility and mild weather conditions make it a perfect destination for both beginner and experienced divers, as well as snorkelers.Diving in Menjangan is best known for its spectacular wall dives, dramatic coral-covered cliffs that drop to depths of over 60 meters. These walls are rich with gorgonian sea fans, vibrant soft corals, and a wide range of marine life including colorful reef fish and macro critters. The lack of strong currents allows for easy and enjoyable exploration, with plenty of crevices, cracks, and small caves to discover.Conditions are typically ideal, with visibility ranging between 15 to 30 meters, gentle currents, and depths from 5 to 40 meters, making it highly suitable for Open Water level divers and above. Due to these gentle conditions and excellent sunlight penetration, Menjangan is particularly beginner-friendly.However, it’s important to note that Menjangan has one of the highest reported DCS (Decompression Sickness) rates in Bali. Divers are strongly advised to ascend slowly and always perform a proper safety stop after each dive. Important Note: Menjangan Island is part of a protected National Park. There is a mandatory entrance fee of IDR 200,000 per person.
